What is the age limit for artists and collectives wishing to participate?Anyone who has not yet turned 36 by 30 April 2026 is eligible to submit an entry. For collectives, all members must meet this requirement.
Can the same artist apply to both Giovane Fotografia Italiana and Fotografia Europea?It is possible to participate in GFI with a project that has been submitted to the Fotografia Europea open call. If the project is selected by both juries, the artist must choose which initiative to participate in.
Are Italian artists who are participating in the competition required to reside in Italy?
Only foreign artists are required to reside in Italy. As for artistic collectives, at least half of the members must be Italian nationals or foreign nationals residing in Italy.
Which images require a signed release form?The release form only needs to be filled in if the subjects are recognisable.
A separate completed and signed release form is required for each subject portrayed.
Images taken at public events or gatherings with multiple subjects may be submitted without a release form, while images of a single subject must be accompanied by one.
