NON HO MEMORIA DI QUESTO LUOGO
(I HAVE NO MEMORY OF THIS PLACE)
The project is developed with the slides of a motor-bike trip his father went on in around 1995. The images are projected on uneven walls to create image distortion effects.
The photographic apparatus has always been used, among other things, as a means of preserving memories, and the act of shooting a photo at a given moment makes us think that we have safeguarded that instant for all eternity. This is partly true, but time influences our minds and changes, replaces, breaks down or destroys what we have experienced, giving us memories of a past life that is clearly distorted. Memory is a set of embroidered recollections.

BIO
MATTIA TOSELLI
(Brescia, IT, 1989)
I studied photography for five years, between Brescia and Milan.
During my studies I focused on Art photography, which is something that I’m still passionate about.
I love watching movies, play drums, read books, comics and travel around the world with my motorbike.
Photography for me is something that let you stop and think about what we have in front of us.
